We Need Your Help!

	We have established ourselves as a forward thinking modern scout group and as a result of this the number of young people joining the group in all sections has dramatically increased. We now have more challenges to overcome if this success is to be sustained in the future. As the numbers of young people increase, so is the need for adult supervision and leadership. Whilst we are always looking for parent helpers, we are now desperately looking for new leaders and assistant leaders who are able to run troop nights. We are looking for help across all the sections: Beavers: (age range 6-8 years old), Cubs: (age range 8-10.5 years old), Scouts: (age range 10.5 to 14 years old). We also want to start an Explorer Unit that will allow those Scouts that reach the upper age limit to move on to. Our immediate needs are: Assistant Beaver Leader(s) Assistant Scout Leader(s) Explorer Unit Leader Assistant Explorer Unit Leader(s) We think it is fair to say that without recruiting these positions we may need to close one or more sections. The roles are completely voluntary and require commitment, but certainly from my own experience what you gain personally more than compensates! Are you interested in joining us? Do you know someone who would be ideal? We are asking that you take time to consider whether you feel you or someone you know are able to offer us your time. No prior training or involvement with children is necessary, all you need to know is how to have fun! Feel free to chat with any of the leaders informally about this, even if you just want to know more information without commitment.
